Brett:	Viral Link Tracker is an online viral advertising generating tool. Basically the way it is designed is every marketer, everybody who is online uses web links and different URL's. Scott:	Are there any other nuances to how it works?
Brett:	Well, specifically in terms of what actually happens is once you've created the viral tracking link and you promote that and somebody clicks on it, it loads the target webpage. So whatever page you originally wanted them to see they are still going to see and then shortly thereafter a small fly-in window is going to load in the lower right hand corner of the screen. The fly-in is completely user friendly. It is in the lower right hand corner and it is completely unblockable as well. Every time that happens you, as the person whose linked got clicked earn ad credits so you can create ads and they get displayed on other members' links as well.
Scott:	I've seen other traffic and ad tools before. How does this differ from them?
Brett:	There are a few important differences. If you want to look at things in terms of generating traffic or building a list or any of the other things that you see online, the first thing is Viral Link Tracker doesn't require you to do anything other than what you already do and that is really significant. Everybody had too much to do already, too much on their plate. If it requires too many extra steps to generate traffic it is really not of very much use. The control panel area is going to direct you to where you go to create a link, where you go to create you ad and you create those links and then you just start using the viral tracking links in replace of the other links you were using. You can see how big your down line is and how fast it is growing. You can see how many times your ads were viewed and your links were clicked and everything else as well.
Scott:	I have a good understanding about what it is at a high level and you've given me a fair amount of detail already. But assuming I'm a member and I want more detail about how the tool works, will MY ads only show on MY links?
Brett:	No. It is a good question. No, actually the way it works is, it is completely randomized. So when one of your links are clicked the three ads that show in the fly-in window can be from any of the members in Viral Link Tracker. So the ads that you are going to have shown can be on any other members' links across the entire network as well. You are not limited to just having your own ads appear on your own links. In general it is other members' ads on your links and your ads on other members' links so you get maximum exposure.
Scott:	I get it. What happens when a visitor sees my ad and clicks on it?
Brett:	Basically the way that the functionality works for the fly-in is each of the ads has a link behind it that you specify when you create the ad, what destination web page you want the person to go to if they click on your ad. When that link is clicked, when that ad is clicked, it opens in a new browser window so you are not diverting anyone away from the original web page they were there to see. It opens a new browser window with whatever target page you had. So if you had a sales page for some product and you created an ad for it and it popped up on some member's link, the visitor was looking at the page, they clicked it, another browser window would open for them and it would have your sales page in front of them that they would be able to take action on without losing the page that they were originally looking at.
Scott:	So you are saying when my viral links are clicked the fly-in won't take visitors away from my page?
Brett:	That is right. If the fly-in appears on your page as well, you don't need to worry about visitors being directed away from your page because anytime, if they are attracted to any of the ads they see and they click them, those are going to be new browser windows they open. When they finish there and X out, they are still going to see your page right in front of them.
Scott:	Alright. Now if I want, let's say I am doing a campaign and I just want to create links to cloak and track but I don't want to display the fly-in ad, is that something I can do?
Brett:	Actually yes. We created that option as well for that very reason. Maybe for the most part you want to be generating viral advertising but for whatever reason you have one particular link that you want to use, you'd like to track the clicks and you'd like to track click throughs and you would like to have it cloaked but you don't want the fly-in to display, there is an option when you create a link for whether or not you want the viral ads to display. You would simply uncheck the box, create the link and you would be able to do all of the other functionality without the fly-in displaying. Now bear in mind if you do that you are not going to earn any viral ad credits for that particular click because there is no fly-in display with other member's ads, but yes, you can do that.
Scott:	I see. Wow that is a great benefit. Do I need to refer other people to get any free advertising?
Brett:	Another really good question because again, I think as I eluded to earlier, a lot of the programs that I have seen, I've been online for a few years and I've had a chance to really review quite a few different things as well as using them myself, one of my big complaints about a lot of the traffic generating, list building things, is that they either rely on some sort of gimmick or unethical practice or they require a substantial amount of referrals in order to really generate anything. To me, that kind of defeats the purpose. If I had a tremendous network, why would I need the extra traffic generation? I need somewhere to be able to start.
